AgustaWestland Conference & Awards 19/04/2010

On the 12th March 10 Mark Podmore and Peter Batey attended the AgustaWestland Supplier Awards, where we had some good news having selected as runners up in the Machining Commodity. This is recognition of the efforts by the FAL workforce over the past year and the improvements made to date.

Although this was good news we need ensure we continue the improvements we have started, AgustaWestland took the opportunity at the awards to inform suppliers of their new targets for 2010.  These are £0 arrears, 98% Delivery Schedule Adherence (DSA) and 0 defects per million, therefore we can see the challenge we face in the coming months.

A number of successes have been achieved with AgustaWestland over the last twelve months, securing our approval to QRS01 to manage digital product and the signing of a long term agreement for the supply of 1300+ line items over the next three years.  We have now acquired the ability to trade using e-commerce with AgustaWestland and our position as a prime continues to strengthen.
