Ford Aerospace is committed to meeting and exceeding expectations when it comes to ESG matters.

That is why we are working to support the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

We work alongside customers, suppliers, industry partners and our local community to ensure that all elements of our operations take these targets into account. Environmental, Social and Economical (ESG) goals are built into the core ethos of our business, from our Internal Targets and Key Performance Indicators, to our Health and Wellbeing committee working on initiatives to strengthen both an improvement in our own workforce’s quality of life, as well as ensuring we have a positive impact on the community around us.

Environmental
Responsibility

Ford Aerospace are committed to minimising our impact on the environment as far as reasonably practicable. Initiatives within the business include:

  • Minimising waste, resources and emissions across our operations (ESG Goal 12).
  • Promoting responsible disposal and recycling (ESG Goal 12).
  • Supporting energy saving initiatives across the business (ESG Goal 13).
  • Protecting local wildlife and biodiversity via community initiatives and monitoring our operations, ensuring the waterways that we reside beside are not impacted negatively (ESG Goal 6, 14 & 15).
  • Development plans in place for future projects to reduce our need for natural resource consumption, as far as practical (ESG Goal 3 & 7).

Social
Responsibility

Ford Aerospace appreciates it is a key player within the local community and as such commits to understanding and addressing our social responsibility requirements, including:

  • Monitoring and maintaining safe, fair and inclusive working conditions or all employees (ESG Goal 5 & 10).
  • Promote and support diversity, equality and inclusion within our workforce (ESG Goal 5 & 10).
  • Work with local communities to improve our social impact on the world around us, with regular fundraising efforts, donation points within the business and close working relationships with charity partners (ESG Goal 1 & 2).
  • Monitor and work with our supply chain to ensure that human rights are respected and all legal obligations are met (ESG Goal 10 & 16).

Economic
Responsibility

Wherever possible, we work with our customers, supply chain and partners to address economic responsibilities, including:

  • Responsible sourcing, ensuring that our suppliers meet our ethical and sustainable expectations from day one of our partnership (ESG Goal 10).
  • Foster successful business relationships to support long-term growth for our employees, the business and the wider industry (ESG Goal 8 and 11).
  • Inspire the next generation of talent, partnering with local colleges to develop our Ford Aerospace Academy, as well as supporting graduates into meaningful roles (ESG Goal 4 & 8).
  • Welcoming innovative technologies into key areas of the business in order to improve performance (ESG Goal 9).
